You and your whole family opened up your heart to kids from another marriage. You made the ordeal an un-ordeal because your love knows no boundries. Being accepted by the whole Smith family was and still is a wonderous miracle to me. You have no idea how much I appreciate the good things you brought into my life.
No, it wasn't always picnics and roses but you made the very best of a crappy situation.
I never felt left out or loved less for being a step-child. I was a handful, a disoriented, lost soul but you took everything in stride.
I know it is because of the many wonderful qualities you and the Smith family have and passed to me that I am the person I am today. Still somewhat disoriented but a basically decent person.
